Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Uniaivi uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Service. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner.

Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). They can be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services embedded in the page ("third-party cookies").

2. How we use cookies

Uniaivi uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account across page loads
  • Remember your language and display preferences
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it
  • Detect and prevent fraud and security incidents
  • Measure the performance of the platform

We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across third-party websites.

3. Types of cookies we use

Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, features like sign-in and session management would not work. Because they are essential, you cannot opt out of them while using the Service.

Examples: — Session token cookie — keeps you authenticated during your visit — CSRF token — protects against cross-site request forgery attacks — Language preference — remembers your selected language (e.g. /en/, /fr/, /ar/)

Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Service — which pages are visited most, where users drop off, and how features are used. All data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to individual identities.

We use privacy-respecting, first-party analytics only. No data is shared with advertising networks.

Examples: — Page view tracking — records which pages are visited and for how long — Feature usage — records which chat features are used

Preference cookies

These cookies remember choices you make to personalise your experience.

Examples: — Theme preference — light or dark mode (if applicable) — Sidebar state — whether the chat sidebar is open or collapsed

4. Third-party cookies

We use Google OAuth to allow you to sign in with your Google account. When you use this feature, Google may set its own cookies on your device in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

We do not embed third-party advertising, social media widgets, or tracking pixels that set cookies on our pages.

5. Managing cookies

Browser settings. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View the cookies stored on your device
  • Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites
  • Delete cookies when you close your browser

Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using core features of the Service.

Browser-specific instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Opt-out of analytics. To opt out of analytics cookies specifically, you can also contact us at [email protected] and we will disable analytics tracking for your account.

6. Local storage and session storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage and session storage to save certain application state on your device — for example, your open conversations and UI preferences. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as part of normal API requests.

You can clear local storage and session storage through your browser's developer tools or by clearing your browser's site data.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
